The launch ceremony of LIS-Water, the Lisbon International Center for Water, took place on the afternoon of October 31st, at the Congress Center of the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (LNEC), in Lisbon.
The ceremony was presided by the Portuguese Minister for the Environment, João Pedro Matos Fernandes.
LIS-Water is a new International Center of Excellence in public policies, regulation and management of water resources and water services, dedicated to research and innovation, strategic advice, education, training, industry support and social participation.
LIS-Water is an initiative of LNEC in partnership with the Cranfield University’s Water Science Institute and the Sorbonne Business Graduate School, and is supported by a further forty other Portuguese and foreign entities, including the Portuguese Water Partnership.
