Final conference of the AQUIFER project in Portugal

The PPA invites all interested parties to the Final Conference of the Aquifer project in Portugal and the Technical Workshop Aquifer that will be held on March 14th, at LNEC Campus – National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (Small Auditorium ), in Lisbon, according to the program available here.

  • The Final Conference Aquifer, will take place from the morning, and aims to present the main results of the project, among which we highlight the presentation of the Cartagena field hydrogeological model – case of minor sea study, and the Aquifer platform of Good Practice in groundwater management.
  • The Aquifer Technical Workshop, which will take place from the afternoon, aimed at groundwater management authorities and related organizations, hydrogeologists, university students, researchers and water sector organizations, aims to present various modeling tools and water level forecasting tools underground.

About the Aquifer Project

The Aquifer Project – Innovative instruments for the integrated management of groundwater in a context of increasing scarcity of water resources aim to capitalize, test, disseminate, and transfer innovative practices for the preservation, monitoring and integrated management of aquifers that help decision-making. Regarding underground water resources, improving technology transfer to local agents and creating new synergies and developing common tools in a context of water resources scarcity and environmental threats.

The Aquifer project is co-financed by the Interreg-Sudoe program and involves nine entities from Portugal, Spain and France, being the main beneficiary of the project, the IGME-Y Minero de España Institute.
