TPF Consultores, in partnership with SOMUST Engenharia, leads the development of a project of great relevance for the sustainable development of Angola: the Chicomba Dam and Irrigation System, which is considered a strategic project in the efficient management of water resources and the promotion of sustainable agriculture in the region.
The project, located in Chicomba – Angola, represents a significant investment in a dam focused on water collection, storage and distribution.The main objective is to respond to the growing local irrigation needs, while boosting the economic and social development of the surrounding communities.
The dam will be built on embankment or mixed profile, with a maximum height of 22 meters above the foundation.The system will include a spillway with a capacity of about 1,900 m³/s and a water intake designed for irrigating agricultural crops. In addition, detailed hydrogeological analyses are planned to ensure the feasibility and durability of the project in the long term.
With this project, Angola reinforces its commitment to the sustainable use of water resources and the strengthening of food security, demonstrating the potential of engineering to contribute to social and environmental progress.
