The Secretary of State for Internationalization, Bernardo Ivo Cruz, opened the ceremony for the PT Global Water Awards 2022, which took place on November 21st at the SANA Malhoa Hotel, within the scope of the 17th Expo Water Conference organized by the Água&Ambiente magazine.
The PT Global Water Awards, aim to reward the internationalization of the Portuguese water sector and are an initiative promoted and organized by the Água&Ambiente Magazine and by PWP.
The 5th edition of the awards distinguished the companies and entities that make up the Portuguese water cluster that in the last year achieved important success within the framework of the growing internationalization of this sector of the Portuguese economy.
Below you will be able to know the prize winners in the different categories:
- R+D+I Category
- Winner: AGS – Health Systems Administration and Management, SA
- Project: Development and implementation of Infrawise
- Supplies Category
- Winner: TPF – engineering Consultants and Architecture, SA
- Project: Technical Assistance and Logistics for Supervising the Construction of the Nachtigal Hydroelectric Facility (Cameroon)
- Services Category
- Winner: Engidro – Engineering Solutions, Lda.
- Project: Institutional Technical Assistance (ITA) for the Kano State Water Board (Nigeria)
The Jury Members also decided to award the following Honorable Mentions:
- Services Category:
- Honorable Mention: INDAQUA – Indústria e Gestão de Águas, S.A.
- Project: Management Contract for Training, Operation and Maintenance of the Namibe Provincial Water and Sanitation Company (Angola)
- Honorable Mention: TPF – Consultores de Engenharia e Arquitetura, S.A.
- Project: Rehabilitation of the Stormwater Drainage System in the City of Beira – Phase 2 (Mozambique)
The award ceremony ended with a speech by José Saldanha Matos, President of the PWP.
