This Thursday, March 12, LIS-Water – the Lisbon International Center for Water, was formally created as a private, non-profit association dedicated to public policies, regulation and management of water services.
The constitution deed was signed by LNEC – the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering, by FEFAL – the Foundation for Studies and Training for Local Authorities of the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities, by AEPSA – the Association of Portuguese Companies for the Environment Sector and by PWP – Portuguese Water Partnership. Other entities will join in the coming weeks, either as full members or as associate members.
LIS-Water has its headquarters at the LNEC campus in Lisbon and one of its already emblematic activities is ProAguas – an advanced Water Utility management program, aimed at managers and decision makers in local government.
